The "Gautrain" is the newest rail craze to embrace south africa's railway system and transport. In my country, its called "MRT"
Neat and comfy inside. This train is not for the common people. Tickets cost around R53 to R64 per head. It will take you to Pretoria, Hatfield- midrand- or. tambo- sandton and rosebank and back. I have enjoyed the ride from rhodesfield to sandton city. Later on, we went to Nelson Mandela Square and Michaelangelo mall. There was a Musica Mega store inside... and i bought a Pet Shop Boys DVD for only R5.00. I can't believe it myself. Truly a great weekend for me...

The Legend Ends

The Dark Knight Rises movie is quite a compelling and mind blowing finale on Christopher Nolan's "Batman" movies. I saw it about 2 weeks ago, and i am really dissappointed. First of all, the poster was misleading. How could you quote "The legend Ends" and the title "The Dark Knight Rises" - at the end of the film - Bruce Wayne is still alive and healthy as ever. The story was not 100% based on the "Knightfall Saga" - the breaking of the bat. Only the good thing, i could think about this movie.. is the character "Bane" brought to life by Tom Hardy. He was all over the film terrorizing Gotham city.

Karaoke Fun

Step aside Magic Sing...here comes Sunfly Karaoke. Europe's version of enter-tech karaoke systems. The good thing about it... is that Sunfly carries most of my favourite new wave artists. Ranging from A Flock of Seagulls to Bauhaus... to XTC. Plus, the fact its downloadable.. all the mp3 + cdg files can be found on the net. Its just a matter of time and torrents before you can sing your heart out on your laptop.

I was baking this cookie yesterday. The first and second trays turned out to be ok delicious and soft. Everybody in the house loved it.

Ingredients:

1. Self raising flour
2. icing sugar
3. vanilla essence
4. cornflour
5. fruit and nuts chocolate bar / melted
6. butter unsalted/ melted
7. cacao powder raw
8. salt
9. brown sugar
10. 4 pieces of eggs

Tools you will need:

1. wax paper
2. cling wrap
3. teaspoons and tablespoons
4. mixing bowl
5. pre heated oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit
6. time. 10 minutes for baking

Funny movie. Although, "American Wedding" still holds the funniest of all the American Pie franchise. The concept of "Reunion" is appealing.... and so far i have no news of any reunions with regards to my high school batch and my college mates.

Sorry, its not Robert Downey Jr. Hehe. Its your blogger wearing the iron man suit. Just for fun.
By the way, Marvel's "The Avengers" movie is very nice. You have to see it twice...but not on 3D. There will be a sequel for this film, nonetheless.. eager fans of marvel universe wil be expecting the mad titan "Thanos" - as avenger's next super villain. It could be the search for the "cosmic cube" on earth or "the quest for the infinity gauntlet". This is a going to be a very massive and ambitious project for Marvel Studios. Just imagine the heroes that will be there:

Easter Island

Somewhere in Chile. Everytime i looked at this figures. Somehow it reminds me of an old computer game called "Gradius" there was a stage in that game... where it looks like easter island.

The Grey

This film is grey and depressing. Its a test of human survival. Man against beast. Set in the snowy mountains of Alaska. Storm clouds approaching, hungry wolves devouring and eating human flesh after a plane crash. Liam's performance was good until the very end of the movie. Here's the poem, on the last scene, in which he is about to fight the alfa wolf.

Frankly, i have never been to India. The picture you see is a product of MS Paint. No need to use Adobe Photoshop. And no need to buy a ticket plane. All you have to do is sit down at home with your laptop. Open Paint.Exe. Find a Photo. Edit. Use the line tool or free-form. Cut and Fill background. Resize the image. Copy and then Paste onto another picture. Check Transparency and save your image to. jpeg format. Done.

This is time-consuming, but its worth it :-)

Black Saturday @ The Zoo

A short family trip. This is my second visit at the Johannesburg Zoological Gardens. Now, i have seen polar bears, white lions, tiger, rhinos, pygmy hippo, cheetahs, bongos.... to be honest, i have seen more this time than my first outing. We took the scary ferry ride. The hotdog stand was truly enjoyable costing R22 without drink.

Piece of Paradise

I should have posted this one yesterday. Its called "Sinigang" my all time favourite dish. Easy to cook meal. Here's the ingredients:

Tomatoes 2pcs. Chopped
Onion 1 chopped
Brinjals (eggplant)
Green beans
Cabbages
Salt
Fish sauce
Pork or beef (sliced to cubes)
Okra (optional)
Lemons (3pcs.)
Chinese cabbage (bok choy)
Sinigang Mix

Nilagang Baka

Sunday is my piece of paradise. Its also a day, where i get a chance to cook something hearty for the family. This is my own version of "Nilagang Baka" with Mais.

Ingredients:

1 onion chopped
Cabbage
1 potato cubed
Beef briskets with bones
Black pepper
Salt
Seasoning Mix
Fish Sauce
2 tbsp. Butter
Water
Sweet corn (4 pcs.)

This is a simple dish. All you have to do is simmer the beef for 45 to 60 minutes until its soft and tender. Put the corn and onion in the boiling water as well. Then add salt. Afterwards, pour in the seasoning mix and butter. Add the potatoes and some fish sauce to taste. When the potatoes are soft, its time to drop the cabbages and black pepper. Its done.

Finally got the best 2D fighting game engine ever in my laptop. Its called "MUGEN". Retro gaming is here to stay. There's lots of characters in this game. You can even add more, depending on your imagination.
